The delicate glass Ashkdoon (Tear Collector) with its sensual curves adds romance and history to any room. Popular amongst Persian and Ottoman nobility, these vessels were used for collecting the tears of wives with husbands away at war. The unique shapes of Ashdoons were influenced by Venetian artisans who shared their techniques with Qajar-era craftsmen resulting in a beautiful fusion of Persian and Venetian artistry.
